School House Nursery - Sandwich
School House Nursery opened in 1992 and operates from the converted Victorian Head Teacher's house in the grounds of Sandwich Infants School. It is a very popular Nursery and serves the local area and surrounding towns.
The name "School House Nursery" reflects the comfortable and homely atmosphere we seek to provide for the children who attend. School House Nursery is unique in that it is set out like a house with two play rooms on the ground floor, a kitchen and two rooms on the upper level. There are toileting facilities on both floors. We hope that this homely environment will be encouraging to parents/carers who are worried about leaving their young children for the first time. The Nursery also benefits from a large outside space with a garden. We provide opportunities for the children to be involved in the gardening and see this as an important part of their learning.
School House Nursery is run by a Management Committee and operates as a not for profit charity with all funds being invested back into the Nursery for the benefit of the children.
